If you want to buy a property in the Apokoronas, Crete, look no further!
Dreamcatchers offer an excellent property-finding service. But not only this, they also offer advice on a multitude of matters related to buying property on Crete and settling in. We went on four trips to Crete over the course of 12 months and looked at about 20 properties with Dreamcatchers. Rachel was extremely attentive and skilled at understanding what we wanted. We eventually settled upon two properties - one outside Plaka and one in the centre of Gavalohori. We really liked them both, but settled on the property with wonderful sea and mountain views in Plaka, largely because you can walk to the beach in Almyrida and we thought our grown up kids would prefer having lively Almyrida nearby.
Dreamcatchers also offered advice on finding a lawyer and a good currency company in the UK. In all our dealings, I trusted Dreamcatchers completely. They are very knowledgeable with no bluster; they offer common sense solutions and provide a great service. This element of know-how and years of experience was essential and saved us so much in term of time and money.
After the purchase, Dreamcatchers also offered advice on property insurance, local accountancy firms, and car purchase and insurance. We are very grateful to them, and they were also extremely prompt in all communications.

Our search for our dream home in Crete began on a long weekend in November 2014
We came over to stay with our friends who have lived here for many years and list of properties was compiled by searching through every web page of agents in the area
We didn't really have a wish list as such and were open to anything really that could be adapted to our dream home
We must have seen 30 properties that weekend all had a but. It wasn't until Rachel said "I think I have the very house for you" that we found the one!!
As,we drove up my heart sank Never will we be able to afford this house. I hadn't even had chance to look inside before my husband announced This is the one what is it going to take to get it. I was acutely aware that to move out here and actually give up work was going to take a lot of money and we got the house at top end of our budget but it has everything that could have been on a wish list and more besides.
I won't say that the buying process was not sometimes fraught but Dreamcatchers professionalism got us through. They have such a Can do attitude that we Brits are sometimes lacking.

Twelve years ago we began our search for an old village house in the Apokoronas. We had chosen this beautiful area after years of visiting more than 30 Greek Islands.
After 2 years we ended up buying a new apartment as we couldn’t find the house that seemed to be in our minds. We enjoyed the wonderful views and convenience but we continued our search for that, elusive, old village house.
