Tsivaras
As you travel along the road from Kalyves to Vamos, the road starts to climb. After a kilometre or so you will pass the sign for Tsivaras and head towards the centre of the upper part of this old village. There is a collection of stone and white washed houses with one very traditional kafenion at the heart of the village.
Tsivaras is 700m above sea level and has about 150 permanent residents scattered on the slopes around the village. It has managed to remain almost completely untouched by time, tourists or new residents although thetre a number of fine new houses on teh outskirts.
There is relatively little to say about Tsivaras. It has no amenities other than the small kafenion. Its a nice place and very peaceful to live or stay, there are little inland roads from behind the village to nearby coastal villages – which means you are surrounded by many busier villages and their amenities.
You can reach Kera, Almyrida and Kalyves Beaches all in less than 5 minutes by car. Vamos, Gavalohori and Douliana are all also only a few minutes away.
